In the moments of weariness,
Shadows of darkness,
Feelings of ignorance,
Unheard, unseen, unknown.
Will you still trust the LORD?
In the times of suffering—
Put to shame, mocked, ridiculed,
Blackmailed, cast aside,
Looked down upon.
Will you still follow the LORD?
In the moments of unloved—
Jealousy and hatred,
Eyes that spy, hearts that judge,
Misunderstood and maligned.
Will you still remain faithful to the LORD?
Through heavy expectations—
To be sinless, blameless,
To possess boundless wisdom,
To be equipped beyond all measure.
Will you still trust your LORD?
In times of uncertainty—
The future unknown, unsure,
The world trembling, unsteady,
Days perilous, burdensome.
Will you still stand firm in the LORD?
The world despises the righteous—
The faithful, the devoted,
Those who walk in truth and light,
Who shun the ways of wickedness.
Will you still follow the LORD?
